What Else Should I Know?
You have an opportunity to spend a week on a life-changing journey serving others with the Your Obedient Servants Ministry in the Land of Lincoln. YOSM provides safe sites and an experienced young adult staff that knows and loves the community and the youth.
You will be serving in a variety of ways depending on the need .This may include partnering with local nursing homes, Kumler outreach, Daily Bread, St. John’s Breadline, Ronald McDonald House, a food drive, Sports Camp, Mary Bryant Home for the Blind, Contact Ministries, Inner City Mission, Washington St. Mission, Mercy Communities, InnerCity Mission and SPARC Camp Kaleidoscope.
Camp Departure and Arrival
Two camp sessions are being offered for 2019 – Campers arrive on Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. and leave on Friday morning at 9 a.m.
July 7-12 Junior High
July 14-19 High School
This is our 12th year, and we want to keep the cost down to $100/camper.
A $50 deposit will hold your spot at the camp. Each camp session is limited to the first 50 campers who sign up. An adult leader/driver is required for each 5 campers. Another $50 will be due by the end of June. Besides food and lodging for a week, this fee includes a camp T-shirt.
A Typical Day
A typical day includes meal preparations, personal devotion time, work at various ministry sites, rest and free time, club time that includes worship, games and reflection on the day’s activities.
While you are here, you will have the opportunity to learn more about Abraham Lincoln. We are 2 miles from New Salem where Lincoln lived during his young adult life. We are also 25 miles from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum!

Co-op Vacation Bible School held at St. Paul’s Church. For ages pre-school through sixth grade. The Co-op churches are St. Paul’s, Central Presbyterian and Petersburg United Methodist. Children from all denominations are welcome to attend.
Aug. 11th 9:30 am
Mission Camp Sunday. During the worship service youth and leaders from both the jr. high camp and high school camp will have an opportunity to share their experiences. Following the service Second Sunday breakfast will be held.
